Sherri Barnes

A farm "girl" from the Fredonia area (that’s Kansas for you out-of-staters), Sherri earned a degree in Communications from Pittsburg State University (again, that’s Kansas). To our delight, she had the experience of being editor for the University’s newspaper, Collegio.

She and her husband, Darren, lived in Colorado for four years where Sherri was Executive Director for the Erie Chamber of Commerce. As a staff of one, she did everything from manage the office to publish newsletters, conduct fundraisers, and coordinate the Erie Town Fair —complete with a hot air balloons launch. After they moved back to Kansas, Sherri worked for Girl Scouts Wheatbelt Council as Communication Development Specialist.
 
Prior to joining Catalyst as our office manager, Sherri had been a stay-at-home mom -- for Logan and Riley -- and family-business-manager. Darren has a lawn care business and they also own rental property.
